POOL MAINTENANCE
APPROXIMATE COSTS

Chlorine will run you $5-8 per month, low end if you buy in bulk so you have enough for 9-12 months at a time. For this cost you should be able to buy new test kit once a year. May need to add a little backing soda or acid once or twice a year. Most likely if you have allowed the chlorine to get out of limits

Covers have been replaced in last year and will be good for 10+ years. Maybe $250-300 a year for some pool maintenance but this will come in a larger bill paid every 3-5 years. Work on pumps or heater etc.

New hot tube cover every 3-4 years at $25-35 for bubble plastic.

If you sweep the pool (10-15 minutes) each month, and a few minutes each week to 10 days to check chemical levels. Once a year I give the filter a good cleaning. Takes 2 hours with garden hose and garbage can, saves on calling pool folks.
